Havenwyck Hospital (a UHS facility) is a Joint Commission-accredited and licensed psychiatric hospital, overlooking Lake Galloway in Auburn Hills, Michigan. We specialize in providing comprehensive, compassionate behavioral health services to children, adolescents and adults. POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Medical Biller performs a variety of duties to accomplish the billing and collection of all patient accounts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Input insurance information for patient admission.
• Follow up on all patient accounts/claims in a timely manner.
• Produces bills for all third-party insurance/patient accounts
• Bills Medicare, Medicare Advantage, BCBS and Commercial carriers, providing necessary documentation for the claims to be processed.
• Input billing data utilizing the hospital's computer system.
• Discuss insurance coverage with patients, doctors, and third-party carriers
• Bills electronically via Waystar Revenue Cycle Management and Medicare DDE System.
• Sets up patient payment plans.
• Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.

Qualifications

High school education of equivalent required. One to three years of accounting office experience in a hospital or health care setting required. Basic computer skills required. Working knowledge of third-party insurances, billing, and follow-up procedures, admitting, insurance verification and collections required.
