Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Divorce & Family Law Attorney to independently manage a family law caseload from initial intake through settlement or trial. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling family law litigation, strong courtroom and trial skills, and the ability to provide strategic legal guidance and exceptional client representation.

This position is well suited for an attorney with a strong background in divorce and family law who is comfortable managing cases independently and developing effective litigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage a full family law caseload from intake through resolution or trial.
• Represent clients in divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and domestic violence matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and legal correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies based on client objectives and applicable law.
• Represent clients at court hearings, mediations, negotiations, and trials.
• Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients throughout the litigation process.
• Advise clients regarding their legal rights, available options, and potential outcomes.
• Maintain consistent and professional communication with clients throughout their cases.
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to effectively manage cases and achieve favorable outcomes.
• Maintain organized case files, deadlines, and court-related documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor ( J.D. ) from an accredited law school.
• Active New Jersey Bar license in good standing.
• Family Law experience .
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage a family law caseload.
• Strong litigation, courtroom, and trial experience.
• Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple cases, deadlines, and client priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Family Law experience strongly preferred.

• Strong client counseling and relationship-management skills.
• Experience with client development and referral-based business.
