GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and perform general custodial duties in buildings under the jurisdiction of the Suffolk County Sheriff. This role is ourNashua Street Jail location; 2nd shift.SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Work under the direction of the Custodial Supervisor.SUPERVISION EXERCISED
NoneDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain general cleanliness and order of assigned areas, including but not limited to: Floor maintenance Sweep and mop all floors in hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, and other designated areas daily; Strip, wax and machine buff all tiled areas by schedule or as needed; Vacuum rugs daily; Trash removal Empty and re-line trash receptacles in restrooms, dining areas, private offices, cubicles, locker rooms and other designated areas;Collect paper from recycling bins and deposit in central location for pick-up; Staff Restrooms Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, urinals, showers, counters, walls, doors and floors; Restock toilet paper, paper towels, liquid soap, and air freshener as needed; Clean and polish mirrors Staff Locker Rooms Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, urinals, showers, counters, walls, doors and floors;Dust tops of lockers on regular basis; Wash locker doors on occasional basis; Clean and polish mirrors Staff Dining Room Wash tables on daily basis, Clean chairs as needed Private Offices, Control Centers, and Conference Rooms Dust furniture weekly,Vacuum rugs weekly Miscellaneous Move small furniture or equipment as needed to complete assigned tasks; Wash and polish windows as directed;Perform other duties as the Sheriff may assign from time to time. Know and comply with all security procedures Cooperate with other staffEXPERIENCE
