Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Contract | Night Shift (7P–7A) | Every other weekend and holiday expected

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit managing common diagnoses including NSTEMI, COPD, pneumonia, sepsis, and AKI
• Monitor and sign off on telemetry strips throughout the shift in coordination with monitoring technicians
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5 (up to 1:7) with PCT support available at a 1:8 ratio
• Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors to ensure safe, effective unit operations
• May be asked to float to ICU, ER, or behavioral health based on experience level
• Adhere to facility dress code and drug-free campus policy, including a negative drug screen for all panels

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Must comply with a drug-free campus policy and produce a negative drug screen for all panels
• Candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry monitoring and strip sign-off workflows
• Background in ICU, ER, or behavioral health settings (relevant to potential float opportunities)
• Familiarity with high-acuity diagnoses such as NSTEMI, sepsis, and AKI
