Description

American Traveler is hiring an Outpatient Cardiology RN with cardiac device interrogation experience for a day-shift clinic role requiring a MO or compact RN license.

Details

• Outpatient Heart and Vascular Clinic setting
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Independently interrogate patient devices including pacemakers, loop recorders, and defibrillators during office hours
• Oversee and perform remote device monitoring using vendor website and clinic scheduling systems
• Triage and assess critical device-related symptoms, providing intervention or escalation as needed
• Perform initial post-implant device interrogation during follow-up visits and educate patients on device function
• Reprogram devices as directed by electrophysiology physicians and care team
• Cerner charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in cardiology specialty
• Experience with cardiac device interrogation and remote monitoring required
• Arrhythmia interpretation skills preferred
• Cardiovascular nursing skills required
• Ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs

Additional Information

• Works in a healthcare facility operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
• Routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses
• Rotating shifts, holiday coverage, and inclement weather work may be required
• Required to work at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
• Floating is mandatory, including serving as a Patient Observer/Sitter role if needed
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for consideration
• Candidates residing 51-74 miles away may be offered at the local rate
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Maximum 10 days RTO allowed, none during the first week due to orientation
