Role Description The Certified Dental Assistant role is a part time on-site position located in San Jose, CA. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, assisting the dentist during procedures, and supporting a smooth patient flow throughout the day. The role involves taking dental radiographs, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring proper sterilization and organization of instruments and equipment. The dental assistant will provide chairside support, offer clear instructions and reassurance to patients, and reinforce good oral care practices. Additional tasks may include managing supplies, coordinating with front office staff, and contributing to a clean, safe, and compliant clinical environment. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Dental Assisting, including chairside support and clinical workflow coordination. Knowledge of Dental Care and Dentistry principles to assist with a variety of procedures. Ability to promote effective Oral Care practices and communicate clearly with patients about treatment and home care. Proficiency in Sterilization protocols and infection control standards to maintain a safe clinical environment. Current certification as a Dental Assistant in California (e.g., CDA or RDA) and valid CPR/BLS certification. Experience taking dental radiographs and familiarity with dental software and electronic health records. Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
