Registered Nurse (RN) House Supervisor PRN

Overview Registered Nurse (RN), House Supervisor – Job Type: Part‑Time. Shift: 12 hour shifts as needed, 7p‑7a, 1 weekend every 6 weeks. Responsibilities Provides after‑hours leadership and serves as a resource person for staff, assisting in patient care and ensuring overall quality of patient care in the facility. Reports to the Senior or Chief Nursing Officer or Administrator on call. Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or families and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient. Qualifications Current Tennessee or compact state RN license. Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred). Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire; Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a stressful environment and respond appropriately. Must hold RN license with Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.
