Your day to day as a Security Officer As a Security Officer, your day-to-day responsibilities will focus on ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff, and property. You will conduct regular patrols of the hotel premises, monitor for unusual activities or safety hazards, respond to guest inquiries and concerns, assist during emergencies, and coordinate with local authorities as necessary. You will maintain accurate logs of incidents and security activities and communicate effectively with the team. You will also conduct safety inspections to identify potential risks and implement preventive measures. General Requirements for All Security Guard Applicants Applicants must: Be at least 18 years of age . Pass the jurisprudence examination with a score of 90% or higher . Provide proof of completing a department-approved, in-person training program . Submit all documentation required by the State of New Mexico. No online training is accepted.
