Per Diem Shift SupervisorWho We Are: CAMBA is a community of staff, volunteers, clients, donors, neighbors and partners who work together to build an inclusive New York City, where all children and adults have access to the resources and supports, they need to thrive. We take a comprehensive approach by offering more than 180 integrated programs in: Education & Youth Development, Family Support, Job Training & Employment Support Services, Health, Housing, and Legal Services. We reach almost 80,000 individuals and families, including almost 13,000 youth. CAMBA serves a diverse cross section of New Yorkers from new mothers in Brownsville to job seekers in the Rockaways. More than half of our clients are immigrants and refugees from around the globe. Over 85% of our families are living in poverty, reflecting the challenges faced by nearly 1.7 million New Yorkers today. CAMBA operates 6 single adult shelters and 6 family shelters and one drop in center. Each shelter offers clients a supportive, structured therapeutic, safe, and drug-free facility. Homeless (often mentally-ill and substance-abusing) men and women are provided with comprehensive services to stabilize their condition in order to successfully transition into to permanent and/or supported housing. CAMBA's Park Avenue Residence is funded by New York City Department of Homeless Services and offers families a supportive, structured therapeutic, safe, and drug-free facility. It provides comprehensive case management services to 63 families who are in a transitional residence program for homeless families. The nine story facility has rooms for various sizes, common areas and provides on-site security and socials services to stabilize.Position: Per Diem Shift SupervisorReports To: Director of Security & OperationsLocation: Bronx, NY 10458What The Per Diem Shift Supervisor Does:Coordinate the day-to-day work of residence staff to ensure client successConduct Quality Assurance and regulatory complianceInvestigate all complaints and/or incidents and respond to emergenciesMonitor and document clients' progress towards their goalsReview documentation related to clients' progress for accuracy, completeness, and clarityConduct client exit screeningsMotivate, coach, and counsel direct reporting staffAssist with facility-related tasks, client services, and reporting.Minimum Education/Experience Required:HS Diploma or GED and 3 years applicable experience, or Associate's degree (A.A.) and 2 years' experience, or Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.W.) and/or equivalent experience. Pre and/or Post Employment Requirements: Require TB results prior to start dateAttestation for State Central Child Abuse RegistryMust obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR certification.Must obtain and maintain certification in overdose prevention.Must obtain and maintain F-80 Fire Safety Coordinator certificationMust obtain and maintain CPI (Crisis Prevention) certified Please note that this position is on call.
