Personal Care Assistant

As a Personal Care Assistant, you'll do work that matters and sometimes in ways nobody else sees, but your student will never forget. You'll be right there to help them stay focused in class, cheering them on as they tackle assignments and master new skills. When life's basics get tough—like eating, dressing, or just feeling comfortable in their own skin—you'll be the steady, respectful support that helps them through.

• Your student feels safe, respected, and understood
• Class assignments get finished—not because it was easy, but because you helped them stick with it
• Life skills become a little less intimidating
• Transitions get smoother
• Communication is seamless
• Behavioral challenges are met with patience and redirection

Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have and maintain a current child First Aid/CPR certification
• Must be or be willing to become trained in maintaining an ACCESS log
• Experience working with children preferred, but not required
• Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently

Work environment: The work environment is active and people-focused. You'll move throughout the school with your student, helping them in classrooms, hallways, and common areas. Each day brings new situations, so flexibility and patience are important. You'll interact with teachers, staff, and sometimes families, always working to create a safe, supportive space for your student.
