Job Title

ICU Registered Nurse (MICU) – Nights

Location

Salem, MA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Every Other Weekend | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU serving adult patients with diagnoses including Substance Abuse/Overdose, severe Psychiatric conditions, DKA, Sepsis, GI Bleed, Respiratory Failure, Cardiac Arrest, Renal Failure, and Cardiogenic Shock
• Maintain RN-to-patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 for high-acuity ICU patients
• Float to Medical/Surgical units as required , managing up to 4–5 patients at ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
• Read and interpret telemetry strips as part of daily clinical responsibilities
• Document and chart accurately using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with attending physicians and residents who are present in the ICU 24 hours/day

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN License required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of continuous Adult ICU experience required
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Willingness and ability to float to Medical/Surgical units

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2+ years of continuous MICU experience in a single facility preferred
• Prior experience in a Level III Trauma Center or large community hospital setting
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR
