Production Supervisor

As a Production Supervisor at our milk facility, you will oversee all aspects of milk processing operations, leading a team of production workers, ensuring adherence to production schedules, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating with other departments to optimize efficiency. You will also monitor inventory, implement continuous improvement initiatives, maintain safety compliance, and resolve production‑related issues. Location and Salary The position is based in Commerce, CA. The salary range is $90,000 to $105,000 annually, based on location, experience, and qualifications. Monitor and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards. Staff Supervision Lead, supervise, and support production associates. Compose and deliver performance evaluations and corrective action notices, providing constructive feedback. Quality Control Train, monitor, and enforce quality control standards. Address and rectify issues affecting product quality. Inventory Management Track, manage, and audit raw materials and finished goods inventory. Coordinate with the supply chain to optimize stock levels. Process Optimization Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose scalable solutions. Implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Safety Compliance Enforce and promote safety protocols. Conduct regular safety training for production personnel. Communication Effectively collaborate with site cross‑functional partners (e.g., quality, logistics, maintenance). Relay information accurately, in detail, and respectfully to ensure smooth operations. Training and Development Train new production associates. Provide ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge. Problem Resolution Address and resolve production‑related issues promptly. Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Regulatory Compliance Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, etc.). Keep abreast of industry regulations and update procedures accordingly. Equipment Maintenance Coordinate maintenance schedules for production equipment. Address equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime. Documentation Maintain accurate production records and reports. Generate reports for management on production metrics. Qualifications Two (2) or more years of leadership experience in a production environment. One (1) or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing principles. Strong leadership background – ability to direct a diverse unionized workforce. Ability to manage and develop associates. Strong skills and working knowledge of MS applications, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint, and ability to grasp additional business‑related applications. #J-18808-Ljbffr Vons Co Inc
