J-1 Visa Program Manager

Serve as a localized team member for a cohort of J-1 Cultural Exchange Teachers, school site administrators, and relevant stakeholders in line with J-1 program regulations Build and maintain relationships with ITES teachers, school administrators, and other stakeholders Support J-1 processes before, during, and after teachers’ programs in line with Department of State regulations Support teachers with arrival logistics by liaising with local resources and stakeholders Ensure teachers receive comprehensive service and are prepared to teach effectively in U.S. schools Maintain documentation of classroom visits, teacher communication, and other data Manage communication through phone, email, and other channels Coordinate, communicate, and collaborate with domestic and international team members Answer teachers’ questions and guide them from arrival in the United States through the end of their programs Frequently travel to schools throughout San Francisco, California Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university Effective oral and written communication skills Knowledge of practical technology usage and immersion Ability to work with highly diverse populations Ability to assist ITES teachers in providing appropriate educational opportunities to children Ability to develop and sustain productive working relationships Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and assignments Driver’s license Reliable transportation Comfort with frequent travel and driving to multiple schools within San Francisco County Flexibility with travel arrangements as needed Ability to use online tools such as Jiffy, Microsoft Office Suite, MailChimp, and Adobe e-sign Ability to stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods of time Ability to carry furniture, supplies, and materials Ability to reach with hands and arms routinely Ability to bend, stoop, carry, push, or pull Ability to lift up to 15 pounds routinely and 30 pounds occasionally Core Competencies Demonstrates strong communication and relationship-building skills while effectively managing logistics and support for J-1 Cultural Exchange Teachers. Proficient in using online tools and technology to facilitate educational opportunities and maintain documentation.
