Every day, ClearEdge supports government and industry customers by delivering innovative solutions that enable critical operations and mission success.The Information Systems Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining the security posture of information systems by evaluating security solutions, managing configuration, and ensuring compliance with policies for classified information.You Will Excel in the Role if You Are:A detail-oriented security professional who takes ownership of maintaining and improving the operational security posture of complex information systemsA clear communicator who can propose, coordinate, and enforce security policies across teams and programsComfortable serving as an Approval Authority and making sound, independent security decisionsCollaborative by nature, supporting ISSMs and senior ISSOs while also contributing individually to team goalsSomeone who models integrity and accountability in all aspects of their work, consistent with core values of Honesty, Integrity, Loyalty, Fairness, Respect, Responsibility, and AccountabilityA Day in the Life Consists of:Planning and coordinating IT security programs and policies across assigned information systemsManaging and controlling system changes and assessing their security impactSupporting the certification and accreditation (C&A) process in accordance with ODNI and DoD policiesMaintaining operational security posture and performing day-to-day security operationsEvaluating security solutions to ensure they meet requirements for processing classified informationAdministering user identification and authentication mechanisms for assigned Information Systems (IS)Maintaining records on workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, intelligent hubs, network switches, and other infrastructure, including system upgradesProviding configuration management (CM) for security-relevant software, hardware, and firmwareSupporting senior ISSOs with implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologiesAssisting with the preparation and maintenance of security documentationMust Haves:Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science or a related technical field from an accredited universityMinimum of 10 years of experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexityExperience in at least one of the following: knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation, communication protocols, or encryption techniques/toolsDoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Systems Technical (IAT), Level 1 or higherKnowledge of basic networking fundamentalsExperience with NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-171Active or current TS/SCI Polygraph clearance, OR the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI AccessExperience with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements, implementation, or compliance programsNice to Have:Experience supporting multiple programs or enclaves simultaneouslyFamiliarity with ODNI-specific C&A documentation requirementsPrior experience serving as an Approval Authority for classified information systemsAdvanced DoD 8570 certifications (IAT Level II or III, or IASAE)Experience with cloud security or hybrid environment security operationsClearEdge is an established small business that values its employees and is committed to providing an environment where individuals can succeed and grow.
