Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: RN - Labor and Delivery Duration: 8 Shift: Day Shift/AUTO OFFER Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice is required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per policy is required Must-Have: Experience in EPIC and Cern Description: Located in a tight-knit community, this facility has been serving the Central Valley since 1965. The workforce is comprised of a 173-bed facility and many outpatient clinics with primary and specialty care services. Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a care plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborates with the team of patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members, as well as for team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team. Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. This department provides labor, delivery, and recovery services. The OB Triage function is included if performed by staff in this department.
