Registered Nurse - Level 2 ICU

Location: Marquette, Michigan

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Level 2 ICU, specializing in critical care. This role involves providing comprehensive care for patients undergoing open heart procedures, as well as those dealing with trauma, surgical issues, respiratory failure, and neurologic conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment and intervention in critical situations.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, behavioral health, and overall condition.
• Administer medications and therapies according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document all patient care activities using Cerner EHR.
• Assist in procedures within the cath lab and neuro surgery as needed.
• Floating to other units as necessary based on patient care requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a progressive care unit (PCU).
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• NIHSS certification preferred.
