Cannabis Cultivation Technician

Viridian Staffing's ( Client is looking for Temporary Cultivation Techs to help with on-site cultivation for one or more medical cannabis gardens during a very busy season for a cannabis company located 30 miles SW of the Bloomington/Normal, Illinois, area.For workers who do a great job, there is the potential for this to turn into a permanent opportunity.

As a Cultivation Tech, you will get the opportunity to monitor and maintain plant production & health. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to maintaining quality control measures; maintaining organization, cleanliness and efficiency of production area; carrying out day-to-day plant care; and monitoring and maintaining plant production and quality control measures.

You bring with you the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.You are known for your effective time-management skills, ability to multi-task, and are always able to arrive on time and willing to give 100%.This position is in a greenhouse environment, so you will need to be comfortable performing the requirements of this position in up to 85 degrees Fahrenheit.You also have the ability to sit, stand, kneel, and lift plants and equipment up to 50 pounds for extended periods of time.


Requirements:

• Ability to stand, sit, climb, twist, and kneel up to 8 hours/day
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with your hands
• Ability to work in climates with varying temperatures (there will be some work in a greenhouse)
• Attention to detail
• Willingness to take direction
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
• Proven work ethic and reliable transportation
• Ability to arrive on time (Shifts usually start at 7 am)
• Horticulture degree or experience in horticulture preferred
• Ability to work for a licensed cannabis operation in the State of Illinois, which includes being at least 21 years of age and receiving authorization from the Illinois State to work for a licensed cannabis operation

Pay: Starting at $17/hour
