Senior Associate/Vice President, Philanthropy and Private Markets, Alternative Credit

Job Overview Ares is a leading participant in the global alternative credit markets. The Senior Associate/Vice President will help build and scale charitable efforts within the Alt Credit platform and the Promote Giving initiative. Responsibilities Build brand awareness of the Ares Alternative Credit platform through charitable partnerships. Lead marketing and coordination of team events, publications, and reporting/monitoring of charitable endeavors. Support the growth of Promote Giving by engaging external investment firms and onboarding new signatories. Build and manage relationships with non‑profit organizations, foundations, and industry partners. Foster a connected community of Promote Giving participants through coordinated communications and engagement campaigns. Lead outreach to prospective charitable partners and manage inbound partnership opportunities. Coordinate evaluation of impact metrics, scalability, and effectiveness of charitable partnerships. Build and maintain reporting frameworks to track charitable commitments, impact, and progress. Provide senior leadership with regular updates on signatory activity, partnerships, and monitoring insights. Enhance visibility of Ares’ philanthropic initiatives through publications, events, and digital content. Create compelling materials that articulate the firm’s “compounding with purpose” strategy and highlight impact. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent. Passionate about charitable giving and impact‑oriented initiatives. Familiarity with foundations and philanthropic practices. Experience working with multiple stakeholders. Strong communication and marketing skills. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to coordinate marketing campaigns, events, and initiatives independently and in a team. Knowledge of the financial community and culture is desirable. Experience enhancing social media presence (LinkedIn, podcasts, etc.) and monitoring charitable program reporting. Experience in event coordination and logistics within a business context.
