Remote Truss Designer Are you an experienced Truss Designer looking for a long-term opportunity with a collaborative team and the flexibility to work from home? We're looking for a designer who is passionate about quality, enjoys solving complex design challenges, and wants to be part of a growing team. What You'll Do: Design roof and floor truss systems using MiTek Software Suite Review blueprints, sketches, and engineering documents Create truss layouts and production-ready component documents Modify designs based on customer needs and building plan revisions Ensure designs meet applicable building codes and industry standards Collaborate with sales, engineering, architects, and customers Mentor junior designers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives What We're Looking For: 5+ years of truss design experience Strong proficiency with MiTek Software Suite Knowledge of ASCE 7 and TPI building standards Strong communication and problem-solving skills CAD/BIM experience is a plus SBCA Truss Technician Level 1 certification is preferred but not required Why This Opportunity? 100% Remote after initial onboarding One-week onsite training in Grand Island, NE Travel limited to no more than two trips per year after training Join an established design team of 8 professionals, with 6 already working remotely Collaborative culture with opportunities to mentor, learn, and grow Stable company with a strong commitment to quality and innovation Please Note: Candidates will be asked to submit examples of truss layouts they have completed during the interview process.
