Operators are trusted to manage high call volumes, assist patients and visitors, and support staff communication across the organization.Fauquier Health is a 97-bed acute care hospital offering surgical services (including robotics), a 24-hour Emergency Department, extensive medical imaging capabilities, an Intensive Care Unit and much, much more. The Fauquier Health system offers patient care for a variety of specialty services including Orthopedics and Spine, a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and robotic-assisted surgery. The fourth floor of the hospital is devoted to our Family Birthing Center and Intermediate Care Nursery.How you'll contributeA Switchboard Operator who excels in this role:Operates the telephone switchboard and routes calls to appropriate personnel. Announces necessary codes with accuracy and implements emergency response and Rapid Response teams utilizing electronic methods.Promptly reports all alarm variances to the security of facilities department as appropriate.Exercises sound judgement in the process and issuance of code requests to include assessing severity, type, authenticity, etc. Announces all codes in a timely, clear, and calm manner.
