Essential duties and responsibilities include:

Understanding and complying with regulatory requirements for financial transactions, specifically Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Customer Identification Program (CIP) as it relates to specific job functions.

Exhibiting superior customer service as an Austin Bank team member. Demonstrating high quality relationship building techniques to ensure the customer receives the best possible solution to his banking and financial needs. Helping to promote a loyal relationship between the customer and Austin bank.

Participating in developing a teamwork atmosphere with co-workers as part of department/branch location by attending meetings, participating in discussions, treating co-workers with respect and courtesy, and contributing to departmental goals.

Staying abreast of company communications by reading publications, announcements and company e-mails, etc. Taking advantage of appropriate communication channels regarding bank related business matters.

Developing personal skills and capabilities through on-going training, as provided by the company or elsewhere subject to Company approval.

Upholding and safeguarding the organizations values particularly relating to ethics, integrity, and confidentiality both internally and externally.

Greeting customers and providing superior customer service.

Interviewing applicants and requesting specified information for loan applications. Pulling credit files and credit reports.

Analyzing applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.

Ensuring loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy.

Corresponding with or interviewing applicant or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.

Approving loans within specified limits or referring to loan committee for approval and/or preparing and sending out denials.

Conferring with underwriter regarding lending applications.

Calling on potential or existing customers to develop new business or retain existing business. Networking with title companies, real estate offices.

Working past due accounts in attempt to collect funds.

Analyzing potential loan markets to develop prospects for loans.

Participating with and assisting senior loan officers on larger loans.

Providing customers with routine platform services, such as approving checks for cashing or handling customer problems. Providing exceptional customer service.

Greeting customers and answering questions.

Answering telephone calls taking messages, forwarding calls or providing assistance to customers.

Notarizing documents.

Performing property inspections and collateral assessment.

Performing file maintenance.

Inputting loan information on the system and completing entries. Inputs UCC filings.

Preparing monthly reports.

Reviewing for accuracy loans already booked on the system.

Preparing correspondence.

Maintaining/reviewing VSI insurance and ticklers.

Maintaining established department and Bank policies, procedures, objectives and quality assurance.

Enhancing professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, community involvement and in-service meetings, etc.

Using professionalism, courtesy and tact in working with Bank personnel.

Reporting to work regularly and promptly.

Maintaining confidentiality at all times.
