Research Scientist

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Research Scientist will design datasets that influence LLM behavior, collaborate with AI research teams on data collection strategies, and evaluate dataset quality to enhance model performance and safety. Key responsibilities Research data collection strategies and design high-impact data slices to uncover model failure modes Model annotator behavior and design experiments to optimize instruction clarity and reward signal reliability Develop metrics and frameworks for evaluating dataset quality, diversity, and impact on downstream model alignment Required qualifications Deep curiosity about data and its influence on LLM performance Experience in designing experiments that generate actionable insights Strong understanding of data-centric methodologies in AI development Ability to work collaboratively with AI research teams Proven track record of quick idea testing in live production environments Virtual Vocations Inc
