School Resource Officer

Are you a TCOLE-licensed Peace Officer looking for a change? Want to be a part of one of the most impactful and rewarding specialized units within Law Enforcement? We are in search of our next School Resources Officer to further our strong partnership with the Pampa Independent School District. Under the general direction of the Patrol Commander, the School Resource Officer is responsible for providing a safe and secure learning environment while building positive relationships with students, staff, and families. Common duties include responding to calls for service on school campuses, investigating criminal activity, addressing safety concerns, assisting with emergency preparedness, and serving as a visible law enforcement presence. SROs also engage with students through education, mentorship, and positive interactions that strengthen trust between youth, schools, and law enforcement. Applicants must be a licensed TCOLE Peace Officer and meet all minimum job requirements for TCOLE appointment.
