Summary About the Position: Incumbent will serve as an expert Project Scheduler responsible for formulating, maintaining, and analyzing complex project schedules across the organization utilizing enterprise project management software to establish schedule baselines, track critical path milestones, evaluate performance variations, and provide analytical data and briefings to leadership and cross-functional project delivery teams. - Apply a thorough working knowledge of study and project management principles, and understanding of the organizational structure and functions, business practices, procedures, techniques, regulations, and guidance.
- Develop reports, briefings, summary fact sheets, and procedures to facilitate communication of scope, schedule, and budget status.
- Review project progress, measuring performance and recommending necessary corrective actions to maintain agreed upon schedule and cost.
- Through judgment and coordination with Project Managers and team members, determine sequence, interdependency, and starting or ending dates and duration of tasks.
- Apply analytical and evaluative techniques to identify and resolve problems.
- Use progress reports, baseline comparisons and other tools to identify performance variations in cost and schedule from the plan.
- Analyze enterprise project management software data to more effectively manage and report project data and identify required changes needed to create consistent and efficient management processes.
- Identify opportunities for improvement, standardization, and cost and resource savings.
- Assist system users across various departments regarding planning, preparing, and implementing Project Management Business Processes.
- Apply project management concepts, including application of cost, scope and schedule controls and earned value management.
- Apply knowledge of principles, methods and tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources, including monitoring/tracking costs and budgets.

- Conduct training within the organization for the operation and use of project management scheduling systems.
- Prepare and present in both oral and written format to senior-level managers with critical listening skills to ensure accurate development and input with the project scheduling tool.
- Work with Project Managers, Program Analysts, technical managers, and functional chiefs to ensure that all projects are identified and entered into the enterprise project tracking system.
- Facilitate communication of scope, schedule, and budget status within the project team and upward reporting of execution status to program managers, middle managers, and senior review boards.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
