Description

• Assesses patients in either inpatient or outpatient settings and crafts tailored treatment protocols
• Implements physical therapy interventions focusing on mobility, strength, and overall physical function
• Collaborates alongside nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation experts to enhance patient outcomes
• Provides education to patients and their families regarding therapeutic objectives, discharge planning, and prescribed home exercises
• Records evaluations, treatments, and progress while complying with facility and regulatory standards
• Engages in interdisciplinary care team meetings to guarantee cohesive care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent accredited degree

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification is preferred
• Additional specialized certifications (e.g., neurological, geriatric) are advantageous but not mandatory

Skills

• Demonstrated experience is highly preferred
• Ability to handle patients with complex medical histories and mobility challenges
