Advanced Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Maintenance Technician to join a dynamic healthcare team in the Midwest region. This role is vital in maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of healthcare facilities by performing a wide range of maintenance tasks both indoors and outdoors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures using metal framing, wood, plywood, and wallboard in patient care areas.
  • Install and repair piping systems including water, steam, gas, oil, and drains when equipped with proper tools.
  • Inspect and assess existing structures to identify maintenance needs and necessary repairs.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls from staff.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and facilities management to ensure timely project completion.
  • Assist maintenance and facilities personnel as needed.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe, working order and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report unresolved issues to management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory standards governing healthcare facility operations.
  • Perform routine safety checks on electrical and mechanical equipment and respond to facility emergency codes.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and handle hazardous materials safely.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Proven experience in maintenance or facilities work, preferably within a healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, boiler, and pneumatic systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices relevant to construction and healthcare industries.

  • Highly organized and capable of prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Limited liability insurance coverage with minimum limits of $100,000 Each/$300,000 Aggregate or $300,000 Combined Single Limit.
