The Camp Counselors are also responsible for providing a safe environment for all children and Team Members.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Greet campers and parentsEnsure that Camp Blackberry waivers are always signedWill be a point of contact for the camper’s parentsMust have the ability to control young boys and girls without physical contact or forceAssist in planning and conducting camping programsBe a friend with campersKeep children under constant supervisionResponsible for the care, upkeep, and storage of all equipmentSet examples in a proper mannerComplete an inventory at the end of each camp sessionMust comply with all company policies and procedures.To perform the essential functions of this position, regular and consistent attendance is required.Must be able to work well with other Team Members and Managers and interact with our guests.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYSupervision of childrenEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or GED and some college necessaryProblem resolutionExperience working with younger childrenMust be 18 years of age or olderMust be certified in CPR and First AidLANGUAGE SKILLSMust be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers, and team membersMust be able to handle unique guest problemsMATHEMATICAL SKILLSBasic knowledge and understanding of mathREASONING ABILITYMust be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goalsPHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to sit and stand for an extended periodMust be able to operate a company vehicle or golf cart safelyWORK ENVIRONMENTMust be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions #J-18808-Ljbffr Blackberry Farm
