Your Role in Patient Care

• Executing thorough patient evaluations, facilitating diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, and episodic conditions independently or in collaboration with physicians, as per credentialing
• Providing essential education to patients and their families about wellness, prevention, and chronic management
• Prescribing medication and therapies within the designated scope of practice

Education Prerequisites

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of a Board-approved Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Certifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in North Carolina
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure within 90 days)
