Details\n \n Acute care Magnet hospital setting on a 40-bed Telemetry unit within a 222-bed facility \n Patient ratios of 1:5-6 \n Night shift schedule with 4x12-hour shifts (18:45-07:15) \n Every other weekend required, with an expectation of 6 weekend shifts (Sat or Sun) within a 6-week schedule \n No on-call requirements \n Floating required within scope to all inpatient units across both campuses \n EPIC charting system required \n 36 hours per week guaranteed for 3x12 schedules \n Requirements\n \n Active IL RN license required (license in hand at time of consideration) \n Current BLS and ACLS certifications required \n Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with strong cardiac background \n High-risk telemetry experience required \n Experience with cardiac drip management (no titration) required \n Experience with sheath removal required \n Central line care and management experience required \n Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management required \n Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care \n Pre/post cardiac surgery experience required \n Additional Information\n \n Provide telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and management of dysrhythmias \n Perform procedures such as sheath removal, central line management, and cardiac drip administration \n Additional clinical responsibilities include wound care/wound vac management, isolation precautions/PPE, and procedural sedation monitoring \n Navy scrub color required \n No parking costs at this facility \n First-time travelers are accepted for this position \n Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; no local candidates accepted \n RTO limited to no more than 7 days per contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment \n Standard travelers may work up to an 18-month period, followed by a required 3-month break in service \n Former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler \n Facial hair must accommodate proper respirator fit testing, or must be shaved with no exceptions \n \n \n American Traveler Job ID P-740409.
