Wash Bay Technician

Wash Bay TechnicianMickey Truck Bodies is seeking a motivated Wash Bay Technician who will be responsible for cleaning, washing, and preparing truck bodies for the prepping and painting stages of production. This position ensures completed units meet company cleanliness and presentation standards while maintaining a safe and organized wash bay area. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in producing a clean, professional finished product.If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environmentthis could be the opportunity for you!What you'll do:Wash and clean truck bodies, trailers, and components using pressure washers and approved cleaning agents.Remove grease, dirt, metal debris, and manufacturing residue from finished units.Inspect units after cleaning to ensure they meet company cleanliness standards.Maintain a clean and organized wash bay area, including tools and equipment.Safely operate pressure washers and other wash bay equipment.Move units in and out of the wash bay area as needed.Properly store and handle cleaning chemicals and supplies.Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.Assist other departments with general shop duties when needed.What we're looking for:High school diploma or GED preferredPrevious vehicle washing, detailing, or manufacturing experience preferred but not requiredAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to follow instructionsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical RequirementsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.Ability to work in various welding positions for extended periods.Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for welding and inspection.Must be able to communicate clearlyRequires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.Requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, crawl, and kneelSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.BenefitsBi-Weekly Productivity and Performance BonusPaid Vacation TimeMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance (employee cost share)Wellness Plan with IncentivesFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Company-Paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability InsuranceCompany-Paid Basic Life Insurance with AD&D401(k) with Company MatchWork EnvironmentManufacturing environment with frequent exposure to water, cleaning chemicals, noise, and moving mechanical parts.
