Eating Disorder Therapist (CEDS)

This is an in-person role. At least 6 of your 10 minimum weekly client hours are on-site in our North Scottsdale office. Telehealth covers the rest. If you are looking for a fully remote position, this is not the right fit. Sinnergy Wellness Group is a woman-owned, dietitian-founded eating disorder practice in North Scottsdale. Founded in 2018 as a medical nutrition therapy practice and expanded into a group practice in 2021, we were built on a nutrition-first approach to recovery, and that philosophy runs through everything we do. We are adding a CEDS therapist to see clients in our office and virtually across Arizona. Our office sits at Pinnacle Peak and Pima, minutes from DC Ranch and Grayhawk. Nutrition first — what that means here Food is the intervention that makes the rest of treatment possible. A malnourished brain cannot do therapy. Cognitive flexibility, affect regulation, insight, the capacity to sit with distress — all of it improves as someone is fed, and none of it can be talked into place first. Our clients work with a registered dietitian from the outset, and therapy is built on that foundation rather than running parallel to it. This is not a philosophy we ask you to tolerate. It is the practice. The right candidate already believes it. Who we are looking for You are already in practice and you want a caseload without the overhead. You hold a current, independent Arizona license — LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or psychologist. No associate-level or supervised licenses. You are a CEDS. You want to be in the room. In-person work is a requirement, not a preference — some of what matters in this population you cannot see through a screen. We are looking for a longer-term working relationship, not a stopgap. Eating disorder recovery is slow work. Clients hold on to the person who stayed. If you are looking to fill a few months while you figure out your next move, this is not it — but if you want a place to do this work for years, that is exactly what we are building. Keeping another practice or position is fine, and common here. Many of our providers hold a separate private practice or work elsewhere in mental health. What matters is that the hours you commit to us are consistent and that you intend to stay. Psychologists holding PSYPACT authority are especially welcome. If you can practice telepsychology across participating states, we want to talk — that reach lets us hold clients who move for school, work, or treatment, and it is a real asset in this population, provided your on-site hours here are met. You are comfortable across the full continuum. Anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, ARFID, OSFED, rumination disorder, RED-S. Restriction and binge-purge presentations. Clients in every body size, including larger bodies, where the illness is routinely missed. Adolescents through adults, and older adults, whose presentations get misread as something else. You are steady with acuity. Clients stepping down from residential or PHP, clients holding at outpatient who could go either way, clients whose medical picture is being managed alongside yours. You know when to elevate and you do it early. You work weight-inclusively and trauma-informed. You do not moralize food or bodies. Specialty in trauma, OCD, family systems, neurodivergence, or adolescents is a strong fit. Experience across levels of care as part of a multidisciplinary team is a strong fit. Eating disorder clients are the priority and will make up the core of your caseload. You may also see non-ED clients here. Schedule Evenings and weekends are where the need is. Minimum 10 client hours per week in those windows, at least 6 of them on-site. Weekday evenings 3:00–8:00 pm and Sunday availability are the strongest fit. There is no ceiling.
