PRN Infusion RN

Overview Texas Oncology is looking for a PRN Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team located in Cedar Park. This PRN position supports a clinic that is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. The role requires 10‑14 hours per week and does not include weekends, call, or holiday shifts. The position may be level 1, 2, or Sr based on candidate experience. Why work for us? Responsibilities Under minimal supervision, the RN provides professional nursing care adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. Demonstrates knowledge of physiological, psychological, developmental, and age‑specific differences in the patient population. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to assess and manage patient/family needs. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices. Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material. Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician. Administer all medications/blood products with correct dosage, route, time, and technique. Obtain pre‑authorization and appropriate consent forms prior to administration where applicable. Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient, labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting the physician regarding dosage modifications, problems, and symptom management. Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices. Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided. Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture. Qualifications Level 1: 0‑3 years nursing experience, preferably at least one year in oncology. Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education (BSN preferred). RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state. Current BLS certification. Level 2 (in addition to Level 1 requirements): 3‑5 years nursing experience. Oncology certification preferred. Level Sr (in addition to Level 1 and 2 requirements): Five years nursing experience.
