How You’ll Make a Difference

In this role, you will make sure patients receive their life-saving medications on time and that the pharmacy’s day-to-day operations run without disruption, handling shipping, mail, inventory, and the office support that keeps the team moving.

Your work helps medically complex and vulnerable seniors across the country get their medications reliably and on schedule, delivered to their homes in Mosaic’s easy-to-use packaging.

This role can also be a starting point. A successful Pharmacy Operations Assistant may be supported by Mosaic to train toward becoming a Pharmacy Technician, though that path is not required.

What You’ll Do

• Ship patient medication packages and make emergent medication deliveries as needed.
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, distributing, and preparing billing mailings.
• Maintain supply inventory, restock the supply closet, and forecast office needs.
• Operate and troubleshoot office equipment such as copiers, scanners, and fax machines, coordinating with IT when needed.
• Perform data entry and basic bookkeeping.
• Handle staff travel arrangements, expense reports, and meeting scheduling.
• Write and update protocols and procedures as needed.
• Take on other duties as assigned.

Compensation

The expected pay for this position is $20.00 per hour. Actual compensation is determined by factors including experience, skills, and internal equity.

What We’re Looking For
Required

• Familiarity with general office processes, including filing, handling mail, and managing inventory.
• Computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets, data entry, and basic shipping software, with accurate and efficient typing.
• Strong written and verbal communication and a customer-service mindset.
• Attention to detail with solid organization and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
• Availability to work on-site in Sterling, Virginia, Monday through Friday, with no nights or weekends. Hours will rotate between 9:30am to 6:00pm and 10:30am to 7:00pm, must be able to work both shifts. 
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company-sponsored visa sponsorship.

Preferred

• Experience in shipping, a healthcare office, or a pharmacy setting.
