Position: Night Charge Nurse

Location: Glendive, MT

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

We are seeking an experienced Night Charge Nurse who is a Registered Nurse with expertise in Emergency Room (ER), Critical Care, and Labor and Delivery. This role involves supervising staff and ensuring the highest quality of patient care across various units including the Emergency Department (ED), Medical/Surgical, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Labor and Delivery, Behavioral Health, and Transitional Care.

Responsibilities:

Supervise nursing staff and oversee patient care in multiple units.
Monitor and manage the delivery of patient care in the ED, Med/Surg, ICU, Labor and Delivery, Behavioral Health, and Transitional Care.
Ensure compliance with all medical protocols and procedures.
Provide leadership and support to nursing staff across departments.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1.5 years of charge nurse experience.
Experience in handling patient ratios of 4:1.
Proficient in electronic charting systems; experience with Cerner preferred.
Must possess certifications in ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.
NRP certification to be obtained within two weeks of starting.
Previous experience in a community hospital setting is preferred.

Unit Details:

Patient Age Groups: Adults and Geriatrics
Daily Census: 3 patients on the Behavioral Health unit
Unit Overview: A secured 4-bed adult inpatient behavioral health unit that accommodates both voluntary and involuntary patients for evaluation and treatment.
Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, and Rapid Response Teams.

Additional Information:

Nurses may provide 1:1 groups and education to patients.
Opportunity to float to Medical/Surgical care areas as needed.
Weekend and holiday coverage may be required.

This is a 13-week position with the potential for extension. We encourage qualified candidates to apply and become an integral part of our healthcare team.
