Hairdressing Services Contract

This is not a direct hire position—this is a service contract for an independent contractor or salon business.

We are seeking to contract an individual contractor or service provider to provide hairdressing services to our residents. This is a pay-per-service model. We are seeking a professional hairdresser to provide haircuts, styling, and shaves for both male and female residents at our skilled nursing facility. This is a contracted, per-service opportunity and is not an employee (W2) position. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, reliable, and experienced in working with seniors. Betsy Ross Nursing & Rehab Center is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility offering excellence in rehabilitation and skilled nursing care in a lovely homelike environment that's newly renovated! Our mission is to provide high quality care to all with respect and compassion through a team approach that focuses on personalized goals.

Flexible scheduling! No chair rental. Low service fees (waived for 3 months if referred by current employee!). Availability to start ASAP.

• Re-comb with Curling Iron

Requirements:

• Must possess current NYS licensure in Cosmetology, current and in good standing.
• Must possess General Liability Insurance.
• Worker's Compensation Insurance (if applicable)
• Experience working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, or in a healthcare/long-term-care setting, preferred.
• Must show energy, enthusiasm, and creativity in working with residents.
• Previous experience with geriatric patients is a huge plus!
• Work well under pressure & willing to work harmoniously with all Facility staff
• Sincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and handicapped
• Possess a spirit of cooperation and enthusiasm
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to communicate well verbally with residents, families and Facility staff
• Treat residents and fellow staff with respect, dignity, and compassion
• Must be able to work some weekends and some holidays
