Digital Marketing & Content Specialist

Industry: Electronics Recycling / E-Scrap About Us Ohata Shoji America Inc. is an electronics recycling and e-scrap company based in Seattle, Washington. Our parent company has nearly 30 years of industry experience in Japan. We also have a branch in Vancouver Canada. Our Seattle operation is focused on expanding our presence in the North America market. We are looking for a creative and hands‑on Digital Marketing & Content Specialist to manage our social media presence, create engaging content, promote our services, and help increase brand awareness and customer engagement. Key Responsibilities Social Media & Content Creation Manage and regularly update company social media accounts, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and other relevant platforms. Take photos and short videos of warehouse operations, electronic equipment, recyclable materials, customer activities, and company events. Create and edit short‑form videos, photos, graphics, and other marketing content. Write clear and engaging social media captions and promotional content. Maintain a consistent social media posting schedule. Respond to appropriate comments and social media inquiries. Monitor engagement and identify opportunities to grow followers and reach. Digital Marketing & Brand Promotion Promote the company's electronics recycling and e‑scrap purchasing. Assist with website content updates, product/pricing information, and company news. Develop marketing materials for online and offline promotions. Help create flyers, brochures, advertisements, and other sales‑support materials. Assist with Google Business Profile and other online business listings. Support trade shows, local events, customer outreach, and other promotional activities. Work with the sales team to create marketing content that helps generate new leads and customers. Office & Customer Support Assist with incoming phone calls and emails when needed. Greet customers, vendors, and visitors. Assist with basic office administration and data entry. Coordinate with the sales and warehouse teams on marketing‑related projects. Perform other general office and marketing duties as needed. Qualifications Strong interest in digital marketing, social media, photography, video, and content creation. Comfortable taking photos and videos in a real warehouse/business environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with major social media platforms. Basic photo and video editing skills. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain a regular posting schedule. Comfortable working in both an office and warehouse environment. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in digital marketing, social media management, content creation, communications, or related work . Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or other photo/video editing tools is a plus. Experience with LinkedIn and B2B marketing is preferred. Basic knowledge of website content management, SEO, or Google Business Profile is a plus. Japanese or Chinese language skills are a plus.Experience creating multilingual content is a plus. Interest or experience in electronics, recycling, sustainability, IT, or technology is a plus. Work Schedule Full-time, 5 days per week. Our facility is closed every Wednesday. Saturday and Sunday are required working days.
