Job Description
The Process Engineer is responsible for improving manufacturing operations through process development, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. This individual will analyze production methods, identify efficiencies, support new equipment launches, and implement solutions that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
Design, implement, and support production workflows from concept through full-scale deployment.
Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify process improvement opportunities.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
Lead process validation activities and support equipment commissioning and startup efforts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing layouts, workflows, and material movement throughout the facility.
Support capacity planning and line balancing initiatives to improve throughput and resource utilization.
Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate inefficiencies and improve operational performance.
Identify and implement improvements to material handling systems and production support processes.
Conduct time studies, process evaluations, and root-cause analyses to resolve production challenges.
Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Perform risk assessments and assist in developing mitigation plans for manufacturing processes.
Manage project timelines while balancing cost, quality, and operational requirements.
Support plant initiatives related to workplace safety, ergonomics, and environmental compliance.
Communicate project updates, recommendations, and results effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or process improvement environments.
Strong understanding of process optimization, workflow analysis, and production systems.
Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or similar methodologies.
Ability to interpret and analyze operational data to drive decision-making.
Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, material flow concepts, and facility layouts.
Working knowledge of engineering design and drafting software such as AutoCAD or similar programs.
Strong problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills.
Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments. Experience supporting automated manufacturing or production environments.
Knowledge of material handling systems and facility logistics.
Experience with process simulation, capacity analysis, or production modeling tools.
Exposure to quality management systems and manufacturing best practices.
Background in implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence initiatives.
