Experienced/Senior Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) Engineer

Position Experienced/Senior Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) Engineer Company: Boeing Company Location: Berkeley, MO As a Flight Systems Engineering Capability member, you will support new product design, development, integration, and flight testing for the T‑7A Red Hawk, focusing on flight control and subsystem control. Responsibilities Gather, define, and document Guidance, Navigation, and Control mission requirements and ensure traceability and quality from system to component level. Use multidisciplinary model data (aero, mass properties, propulsion, etc.) to develop and refine a complex, nonlinear, six‑degrees‑of‑freedom simulation model. Support design of flight control laws and tools to achieve design and performance targets. Use advanced analysis to assess and refine control law design. Perform model validation against test data to improve simulation accuracy. Develop supplementary controllers, limiters, mode logic, and signal shaping to bound performance within all flight envelope areas. Work with flight simulation and Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) software engineers to incorporate control laws into the operational flight program. Support flight simulations, hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing, and flight testing. Participate in design reviews, analyses, simulations, and component/system testing to deliver products that meet or exceed customer requirements. Author and maintain engineering documentation for consistency and delivery. Conduct design trade studies to meet program requirements. Work under general direction. Qualifications Basic: Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent; 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: 9+ years of related experience or equivalent; experience with system and component modeling; real‑time algorithm implementation; programming in C/C#; Advanced Control Systems coursework; experience with Matlab/Simulink or MatrixX. Pay Range Level 3: $115,600 – $156,400 Level 4: $142,800 – $193,200 Security Clearance This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance post‑start is required. Relocation This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Export Control This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62, including U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, is required.
