Senior Backend Java Developer

Java Developer/LeadGenesis10 is currently seeking a Java Developer/Lead for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This role involves developing, enhancing, debugging, and testing software applications that support business units and supporting functions. The ideal candidate will provide technical direction, contribute to system architecture for individual initiatives, and serve as a fully seasoned technical resource.Responsibilities:Develop, enhance, debug, support, maintain and test software applications that support business units or supporting functions, software, hardware, technologies and toolsParticipate in or support delivery of designs and implementationsProvide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiativesServe as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resourceRequirements:8+ years of hands-on experience in a Developer/Lead capacity8+ years of hands-on experience in reviewing requirements and project documentation to understand the application and perform automation feasibility analysisJava/J2EEKafkaOracleSolid computer programming experience (Java, SQL, Spring, Springboot, Webservices (REST and SOAP) & HTML)Ability to assist with offshore / onshore task co-ordinationExperience in Dev Ops, continuous delivery and continuous integrationTransaction knowledge, JaxB, JMS, Jdbc, WebLogic, JBOSS, MQ, and good handle on core java (streams / files / collections)Experience with design and development of significant componentsExperience performing code reviewsExperience with CICD and deployment activitiesUnderstanding of architecture and bank standardsDesired skills:Drools knowledgePayments DomainPay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
