Role Description The Personal Training Director is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Tuscaloosa, AL, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the personal training and small group training programs. This role manages, mentors, and develops a team of trainers, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance management, and ongoing education. The Personal Training Director creates and implements training offerings, packages, and programming that align with Crunch standards and drive member engagement, retention, and revenue. Daily responsibilities include coaching trainers on sales and service, conducting member consultations and fitness assessments, monitoring KPIs, and ensuring high-quality, safe, and inclusive training sessions on the gym floor. This position collaborates closely with club management to support overall club performance, uphold brand standards, and deliver an exceptional member experience. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Personal Training and Group Training, with the ability to design and oversee safe, effective, and engaging fitness programs. Hands-on experience in Training and staff development, including mentoring, coaching, and leading a team of fitness professionals. Relevant fitness certification(s), such as U.S. National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) or equivalent accredited organization. Strong Customer Service skills, with a track record of building member relationships and supporting a welcoming, inclusive club environment. Previous leadership or management experience in a fitness or wellness setting, preferably within a multi-location or franchise environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage schedules, priorities, and performance metrics. Basic business acumen, including understanding of sales processes, revenue targets, and key performance indicators for personal training. CPR/AED certification and commitment to maintaining a safe training environment. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support member needs and club operations.
