About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP People & Culture to lead the establishment of its operations in Germany. This role is pivotal in setting and executing the local people strategy, encompassing HR, talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, and training. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the combination of continuous growth with the development of an attractive local workplace and a strong safety-first culture. Key responsibilities include setting and implementing a successful people strategy, building a world-leading HR operations, and converting business strategies into HR operations to support the company's goals and drive culture. The VP People & Culture will also be the primary contact for legal compliance and German employee relations matters, and will develop processes for learning & development, performance management, talent and succession planning, and employer branding. The ideal candidate for this role at the company will have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in HR, business administration, law, or related fields, with deep knowledge of HR functions and a proven track record in strategic planning and implementation, ideally with over 15 years of experience in a senior HR role. Fluency in English and German is essential, as is experience and interest in the manufacturing industry. The candidate should be familiar with analytical HR tools, have a strong understanding of local and international labor law, and be driven, caring, and structured. The role is part of the German management team, with a reporting line to the local CEO and a dotted line to the Chief People Officer in Sweden, and is an opportunity to be at the forefront of creating a gender-equal workplace and to drive change while writing industry history.
