We are seeking a Network & Systems Administrator to support the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure in a growing healthcare environment. This is a hands-on role responsible for network administration, systems support, infrastructure deployments, and operational improvements.

The ideal candidate enjoys working in a smaller organization where they can wear multiple hats, solve problems creatively, and help mature IT operations. Success in this role requires strong technical skills, adaptability, patience, and a customer-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Network Administration

• Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, wireless access points, and VPN connectivity.
• Perform network upgrades, equipment replacements, and infrastructure deployments.
• Monitor network performance and proactively resolve connectivity and performance issues.
• Troubleshoot network outages and work to minimize operational downtime.

Systems Administration & Operations

• Provide day-to-day administration and support for servers, operating systems, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Perform software installations, system upgrades, security patches, and routine maintenance.
• Support endpoint deployments, hardware installations, and workstation configuration.
• Maintain system availability through proactive monitoring and operational support.

IT Operations & Process Improvement

• Help develop and implement IT operational processes, including Change Management procedures.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and infrastructure diagrams.
• Recommend process improvements that enhance operational efficiency, stability, and supportability.
• Assist in planning and executing infrastructure improvements and technology refresh initiatives.

Collaboration & Customer Support

• Partner with internal departments to understand business needs and deliver reliable technology solutions.
• Provide responsive technical support while balancing operational priorities and project work.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment and assist wherever needed in support of organizational goals.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Network Administration, Systems Administration, or Infrastructure Support.
• Strong experience configuring and supporting routers, switches, wireless networks, and VPN technologies.
• Experience with Windows Server administration, system patching, software deployments, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Experience troubleshooting network, server, and endpoint issues in production environments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving organization.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting healthcare organizations or other regulated environments.
• Experience with Cisco networking equipment.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls or other enterprise firewall platforms.
• Familiarity with Change Management and IT operational best practices.
• Exposure to cybersecurity concepts, network security, vulnerability management, or security best practices.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible or similar technologies.

This individual is equally comfortable installing network equipment, troubleshooting production issues, documenting processes, and improving operational workflows.
