Work Environment\n

This position operates remotely, allowing for flexibility and comfort in your working environment while maintaining a strong connection with our team and clients. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with potential adjustments to accommodate patient needs. You will work primarily from home while attending virtual meetings, consultations, and some in-office sessions as required.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand clients’ unique experiences, personal histories, and presenting issues.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic interventions that reflect clients’ cultural backgrounds through practices like cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychodynamic approaches.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, promoting mental wellness and resilience while addressing specific mental health concerns.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to clients’ care, including timely referrals as necessary.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support, employing de-escalation techniques and harm-reduction strategies in mental health emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, ensuring that education is culturally relevant and accessible.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in line with legal requirements and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Actively participate in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing cultural competency training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will engage with a wide range of clients, including individuals from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and immigrants navigating unique mental health challenges. Your role will involve understanding and respecting cultural differences in mental health perceptions and practices, ensuring that care is tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Tennessee is mandatory.

• A strong foundation in understanding mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and the importance of cultural competence in therapeutic settings.

• Proven experience in delivering effective individual and group therapy using culturally responsive approaches.

• Exceptional crisis intervention abilities, demonstrating poise and clarity under pressure.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Two years of post-graduate experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating competence in culturally sensitive therapy.
