Student Technology Assistant

FTE: 1.0 - 10 month position

Primary Function: Contributes to an effective learning environment by supporting the performance, reliability, and security of District Technology Assets. Supports staff and students through the rapid resolution of technology issues as identified in the District Technology help desk.

General Responsibilities:

• Communicating in an effective and professional manner with all staff and students
• Appropriately resolving or escalating help desk tickets in a timely manner
• Collaborating with the Technology Department to determine staff/students technology needs
• Perform test set up (which includes hardware and software readiness as well as hardware availability), assist with proctoring, and trouble shoot problems for school and state specific online testing throughout the school year
• Initiating printer repairs and toner replacements as needed
• Manages the schools website, including daily happenings and school function announcements
• Creating, troubleshooting, and maintaining user accounts using appropriate tools
• Troubleshooting basic student ipad issues, software, hardware, and user login problems
• Supporting the use of email, calendars, and other communication services
• Providing basic hardware maintenance, cleaning, and upgrading as needed
• Proactively providing technical support to staff
• Attending training and/or staff development as required
• Working effectively and collaboratively with staff to promote the successful use of technology
• Performing other duties as assigned by the District Technology Administrator

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED

Salary: Please refer to the Park View Council of Teachers Contract for the salary schedule.
