Plasma Center Paramedic - EMT-P - Sign-On Bonus Eligible

Job Overview This role is a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supporting Plasma Center operations, reporting to the Plasma Center Manager and under guidance from the Center Physician. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of Center Physician standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities. Provide guidance to donors and refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues. Support the Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER; refer to EHS guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements. Current state license or certification for Nursing, EMT-Paramedic, or similar credentials. Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy. Completion of FDA-approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Minimum two years experience in a clinical or hospital setting. Benefits & Compensation Hourly wage range: $25.00 – $34.38 (depending on qualifications, experience, and location).
