We are hiring an experienced Safety Supervisor for our Chicopee, MA manufacturing facility.

Flexibility is required based on the needs of the operation.

Job Summary

The Safety Supervisor oversees all plant safety programs and ensures the facility operates in a safe, compliant, and well‐maintained condition. This role leads safety initiatives, supports regulatory compliance, and partners closely with production and plant leadership to promote a proactive safety culture, reduce risk, and maintain accurate reporting and documentation.  Availability to respond to  safety matters outside standard hours.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

• Oversee daily safety activities and support the implementation of safety programs/policies.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and hazard assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety standards.
• Lead and support incident investigations, including root cause analysis/corrective actions.
• Facilitate safety training, onboarding, and ongoing communication (e.g., toolbox talks).
• Track, monitor, and report safety metrics, corrective actions, and compliance records.
• Promote PPE compliance and reinforce safe work behaviors on the production floor.
• Partner with leadership to drive continuous safety improvement and a strong safety culture.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures and drills.

Other (Non-Essential) Functions

Pay & Work Schedule

• Salary Range: $65,000 – $70,000 annually, depending on experience
• Schedule: Monday – Friday; Saturdays as business dictate
• Availability to respond to safety matters outside standard hours.
• For information purposes, production shifts are as follows:

- 1st: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

- 2nd: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

- 3rd: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Job Requirements

• 5+ years in safety, facilities, or maintenance supervision (manufacturing preferred).
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and industrial safety practices.
• Experience with facility systems is preferred.
• Strong communication, problem‐solving, and leadership skills.
• Safety certifications (OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR) preferred.
• Detail‐oriented with a strong safety mindset.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‐paced environment.
• Effective communicator and collaborator.
• Proactive in identifying and resolving hazards or facility issues.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to frequently remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) and move throughout the work area, including walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and twisting.
• Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry up to 30 pounds with or without assistance.
• Must wear required PPE, including hearing protection and safety shoes.
• Regular exposure to production equipment, noise, and materials such as inks and adhesives.
