Civil Engineer

Join our client as a Civil Engineer focused on site design, contributing to transformative public and private development projects across the Birmingham area. You'll create detailed construction documents, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and see your designs directly shape the community's infrastructure. - Tier I Engineer (Entry level): 70k/yr
- Tier III Engineer (Certs required): 120k/yr
- Prepare site development construction documents including grading, drainage, and utility plans
- Develop design plans for roads, parking areas, and site layouts per agency standards
- Support land planning, permitting, and hydrologic/hydraulic analyses
- Prepare erosion and sediment control plans and stormwater management designs
- Assist in preparing engineering reports, cost estimates, and technical specifications
- Collaborate with surveyors, architects, and external stakeholders to coordinate design elements
- Participate in QA/QC reviews and revise plans based on reviewer feedback
- Be able to do the job as described
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Working knowledge of grading, drainage, utility design, and permitting standards
- Strong technical writing, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
