Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a dedicated and empathetic Sonography / Ultrasound Technologist to join our forward-thinking imaging team. In this role, you'll utilize cutting-edge ultrasound technology to conduct essential diagnostic exams, engage with a supportive network of healthcare professionals, and provide solace to patients through effective and timely imaging.

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a diverse range of ultrasound evaluations including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Maintain patient comfort and safety during procedures, clearly articulating each step with empathy and reassurance
• Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to deliver precise, high-quality diagnostic images
• Effectively operate and manage imaging equipment while ensuring any issues are reported promptly
• Document exams thoroughly and keep patient records organized within the electronic health system
• Stay abreast of technological advancements and best practices in ultrasound imaging

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Current ARDMS certification or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred

Skills Needed

• Expertise in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
