Patient Registrar – Radiology – Per Diem – Days – Weill Cornell As a Patient Registrar, you’ll play a key role in ensuring a seamless patient experience, from arrival through registration and scheduling. You’ll be responsible for: Greeting patients with professionalism, warmth, and respect Registering and pre‑registering patients accurately in our system Collecting and verifying demographic, insurance, and financial information Scheduling appointments and coordinating with referring providers Securing pre‑certifications and authorizations to support timely reimbursement Preparing necessary documentation and communicating financial responsibilities Interface with referring offices/departments Above all, you’ll be a calm, reassuring presence for patients navigating their care – helping them feel informed, supported, and confident every step of the way. This role is a per diem day flex shift position working as needed in the Radiology department at our Weill Cornell location. Shifts are 8 hours ranging between 6:00am‑5:00pm. Includes rotating holiday coverage. Preferred Criteria Some college Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first. Knowledge of health insurance benefits/requirements Knowledge of Coding: ICD 9, CPT-4 Required Criteria High School Diploma or GED One year of clerical experience Effective communication, along with phone and computer skills Please note that all roles require on‑site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
