El Camino Real is looking for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our management team and help lead service at our high-volume Texas Mexican restaurant.

The Assistant Restaurant Manager works closely with the General Manager to ensure exceptional guest service, consistent execution, and a clean, attractive, and well-maintained restaurant. This position is highly active during service, floating throughout the restaurant to support the team, address guest needs, and maintain service standards.

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will also assist with staff training, pre-shift meetings, opening and closing procedures, inventory, and general restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Execute proper opening and closing procedures and pre- and post-service duties
• Assist the General Manager with pre-shift meetings and daily staff communication
• Monitor service throughout all areas of the restaurant
• Ensure team members consistently follow service standards
• Support and coach servers, bartenders, and support staff during service
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen regarding service issues, pacing, allergies, and guest requests
• Handle guest relations and resolve service issues professionally
• Inspect the dining room and restaurant before service
• Ensure menus are accurate, updated, and properly maintained
• Maintain phone coverage and communication standards
• Assist with inventory and operational organization
• Assist with staff training and onboarding
• Help maintain restaurant cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance
• Support the General Manager with day-to-day restaurant operations

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience as a Lead Server, Lead Bartender, or similar restaurant leadership role
• Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead by example and remain composed under pressure
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to hospitality
• Ability to adapt quickly and make sound decisions during service
• Knowledge of Mexican, Texas BBQ, or Tex-Mex cuisine is a plus
• Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Professional references required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of a busy restaurant environment
